For medical practices & clinics

Software that understands how a practice runs.

Websites, front-office automation, and EHR integration for independent practices—from an engineer who has spent years working inside DrChrono and ModMed, and who treats patient data with the care the law expects.

The experience

We've done the unglamorous parts

Most web shops have never touched an EHR. We have. For a telehealth company, we built and ran a DrChrono integration end to end: appointments synced from online booking, clinical documentation driving the workflows behind it, prescriptions generated and faxed to the pharmacy, lab results filed to the right chart. When that company was acquired, we planned and delivered the complete, verified export of every patient record.

We've also automated the parts of practice life that never make a vendor's demo: inbound faxes that need to be read, classified, and routed to the right person; results that had to land in a partner clinic's ModMed system that offered no API; appointment workflows that fill canceled slots instead of losing them.

All of it under the constraints that matter in healthcare: Business Associate Agreements wherever patient data is touched, minimum-necessary access, and the discipline to keep patient information out of tools that have no business seeing it.

What we build

What we build for practices

A practice website that works

Providers, services, insurance details, patient forms, and appointment requests—fast, accessible on any phone, and built to show up when someone nearby searches for a practice like yours.

  • Marketing site: $3,500–$8,000
  • Booking or e-commerce site: $6,000–$15,000
  • Custom web application: $15,000+
About web development

Front-office automation

Appointment reminders and recalls, inbound faxes read and routed instead of piling up, intake that doesn't get retyped, and routine patient questions answered—with anything clinical handed to your staff, never to software.

  • Automation sprint: $2,500–$5,000
  • Custom chatbot: $3,000–$10,000
  • Larger AI & data projects: $10,000+

  • Customer-facing app: $15,000–$45,000
  • Ongoing development: $2,000–$6,000/mo

Getting found by new patients

Local search is how patients pick a practice. We handle your Google Business Profile, reviews, and pages that answer the questions patients actually type.

  • Audit & foundation sprint: $1,500–$3,500
  • Monthly local SEO: $500–$1,500/mo

Patient data

Handled like it matters

What we do

  • Sign a Business Associate Agreement whenever work touches patient information.
  • Keep access to the minimum necessary—scoped credentials, not the master password.
  • Keep patient data out of analytics, marketing pixels, and third-party tools that shouldn't see it.
  • Say plainly, in writing, which parts of a project touch patient data and which don't.

What we won't claim

  • That anything is “HIPAA certified.” No such certification exists; compliance is agreements plus habits, not a badge.
  • That an AI should answer clinical questions. It shouldn't, and the ones we build refuse to.
  • That patient records can travel by email or a shared spreadsheet to save a step. They can't.
FAQ

Common questions

Which EHRs have you worked with?

DrChrono and ModMed EMA, hands-on: API integrations, workflow automation, and full practice-data exports. The hard-won patterns—authentication, rate limits, data quirks, and what to do when there is no API at all—transfer to other systems.

Are you HIPAA compliant?

Careful answer: HIPAA compliance describes how a specific system handles patient data, not a badge a vendor can hold. When work touches patient information, we sign a Business Associate Agreement, keep access to the minimum necessary, and keep patient data out of analytics and marketing tools. Anyone selling you a blanket “HIPAA certified” label is overclaiming—no such certification exists.

Can you get our data out of our EHR?

Usually, yes. Every certified EHR owes you an export of your records, and most have additional routes—vendor exports, APIs, or, worst case, carefully supervised automation. We have planned and delivered a complete, verified export of a practice's records, and we start with a written inventory before anything moves.

Can an AI chatbot talk to our patients?

Only about administrative things—hours, directions, forms, scheduling. Anything that smells clinical, or involves billing disputes or medication questions, should route to your staff. We build that boundary in from the start rather than bolting it on after a bad transcript.

Do you work with practices outside the Capital Region?

Yes. EHR integration and data work is remote-friendly, and most of it happens over screen shares and written plans anyway. Practices near Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs, or Albany get the in-person version.

What does this cost?

The same honest ranges as the rest of our work: marketing sites typically $3,500–$8,000, automation sprints $2,500–$5,000, custom integration work quoted fixed after a free conversation. No hourly meter, and you own everything we build.
